Welcome back to the SWIndia blog! Today was our last day in Walchandnagar, and we’re so sad to be leaving such a beautiful city. We began our day with our last breakfast at the guest house and some final packing. Then, we returned to BCA for the valedictory function, where students performed dances, gave speeches on their experiences with the camp, and we heard from staff about the impact of the camp on the school. We also performed the dance that we have been practicing all week! It was very special to reflect on this week alongside all of our friends at BCA, and hearing about the impact of the camp was very encouraging. Some of us even got emotional while saying goodbye!

After the valedictory function, we collected our belongings from the guest house and began a three hour long journey to the Pune airport. During the ride, most of us slept or chatted. Although we had to rush in the airport, we made it onto our flight in time and we landed in Cochin at around 5pm to meet our tour guide. Cochin is a beautiful city on the water, and we’re all excited to get to know the city tomorrow.

After arriving at our beautiful hotel, we settled in and got dinner at the rooftop restaurant before returning to our rooms to relax and get ready for tomorrow! We’ll be exploring Cochin and learning more about the culture of Kerala, so be sure to check back in tomorrow!
See you soon,
Sanjana (and the rest of SWIndia!)
