Are you interested in pursuing a STEM field? Are you curious about Michigan Engineering? Come shadow a SWE member for a day and learn what it’s like to be a Michigan Engineer!

Shadow Day offers high school girls the unique opportunity to experience a day in the life of a college student. You will be paired with a current SWE member, attend real engineering classes, tour our beautiful North Campus, eat at the dining halls, and get all your questions answered about college life, admissions, and engineering majors.

Shadow Day opportunities for the 2026–2027 academic year are coming up! Applications for high school students will open closer to the start of the semester.
