Corporate Information Session
The mission of the Corporate Information Session (CIS) program is to foster professional relationships between students and recruiters, in a comfortable, relaxed environment. The sessions generally consist of two parts: company presentation and networking.
We invite you to host an information session. The Society of Women Engineers provides you with a hassle-free approach to recruiting. The CIS committee will coordinate all the logistics, catering and publicity for your session. To register for an information session, see the information below. In an effort to constantly improve our program we welcome and encourage your feedback. If you have any comments or suggestions please email swe.car.directors@umich.edu.
Thank you for your continued support!

Registration
This semester CIS sessions will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays with time slots from 5:30-7pm and 6:30-8pm. Please see the registration form below for exact available dates. You may register for the date and time of your choice. We will schedule a maximum of two companies per time slot. However, exceptions are made during the time of Career Fair in the Fall and Winter semesters.

After your registration is received, we will schedule a room for your session through university scheduling services. Every room we assign is on North Campus. We will do our best to accommodate room requests, but cannot guarantee availability. Every room is equipped with an LCD projector (to hook a laptop up to). To view classroom options and amenities, click here.
When company representatives arrive for a CIS, they will be welcomed by a SWE representative. The officer is knowledgeable about the equipment in the room and is there to assist you.
You will receive a confirmation email when we finish processing your request. This will be done within two weeks of when we receive your registration. During the summer our processing time is extended to three weeks. If you have questions sooner than that, please email swe.car.info@umich.edu.

Registration for Fall 2024 is now open. Register here.
Cost and Fees
We ask for a processing fee that will go to the Society of Women Engineers for our services in setting up the session. Your support enables us to keep this program going. Processing fees are dependent on the date of your session. Please see the dates below to see how much you will be charged:
September 3rd - 5th: $200 per session + price of food
Career Fair Week (September 9th - 12th): $200 per session + price of food
September 16th - 19th: $150 per session + price of food
All other dates: $100 per session + price of food

An invoice will be emailed to you within a week of your session. Invoices are not typically sent out until after the session is complete since the total may change because of last-minute changes or late fees.

Reminder: SWE Corporate and Alumni Relations are not affiliates with SWE/TBP Career Fair or the Winter ECRC Career Fair.
Late Fees and Cancellation Fees:

If you register, cancel or make significant changes to your session within 10 days of your session you will be charged a $50 late fee. If we have not received payment within 30 days following your session, a late fee of $50 will be added to your invoice and you will be notified. Please note that we will not accept any new CIS requests until all previous balances are cleared.
If you have any questions about the cost of a CIS session please email swe.car.finance@umich.edu. We would be happy to answer all your questions and explain our policies.
Publicity
Our committee has a Publicity Officer to ensure your session is well advertised. We will work with you to customize publicity to suit your recruitment needs. We have several advertisement methods:
-
Chapter Emails: All corporate events are included in emails to the whole chapter at least two weeks before they occur.
-
Calendars: A "Next Day Summary" email will be sent out to the entire College of Engineering every day with information on the sessions that will be occuring the following day. An "10 Day Summary" email is also sent out to the entire College every Tuesday with the same information. The information sessions are also posted on the Engineering Career Resource Center Additional Corporate Events calendar.
-
Web: Web: Students can view the current schedule of information sessions on the U-M SWE Corporate Information Sessions Calendar. In addition, we can announce sessions on our Twitter and Facebook Pages. This year we will also start announcing our upcoming events on career-oriented websites such as LinkedIn and Handshake.
-
Department Emails: An email is sent to most of the departments in the College of Engineering with information on the upcoming information sessions for the following week. The departments will forward this information onto their students every Friday.
-
Independent Methods: We welcome you to advertise your session through any preferred medium. If you have a suggested means of advertising that we have not considered, we would appreciate your input. Please email our Publicity Officer at swe.car.pub@umich.edu.

We will be phasing out paper flyering unless your company specifically requests them. Instead, we will focus more on digital advertisements through emails and career websites. We strongly encourage you to reach out to students through your own email lists and social media to encourage better attendance and more publicity to interested students.
Payment Options
There are two ways you can pay for your Corporate Information Session: Credit Card or Check
