Unfortunately the ending of our 2026 SWIndia trip is approaching and it is officially our last full day in India :(
Our group had another early morning breakfast before it was time to head off to the airport. We had a short flight to Chennai where will be spending our last day in before heading back to the US.
Upon arriving in Chennai, we headed straight into the city and drove around to see some sights and stores.

Unsurprisingly our first stop ended up being a cafe where we all bought matchas and ice cream.

Chennai also has a great shopping scene so we stopped by some shops nearby to spend the last of our rupees.

On our way to our hotel, we stopped by Santhome Catholic Church where it is one of three churches worldwide to be built over a tomb of an apostle.

Afterwards, we checked into the last hotel of our trip. The group had some free time till dinner so we all split up. Some went to catch up on their sleep, others went to the pool, and many ended up at the next door shopping mall to continue their shopping adventures.

We all reunited again for dinner where we honored our amazing tour guide, Miru! She was the absolute best and only a handful of people can handle a group of ten girls in a foreign country for so long.
Afterwards, we made one last final stop at the shopping mall again to end off our day before packing up and going to sleep for our flights back to the US.
For our final travel, we have to fly to Malaysia then to Hong Kong where we then have a 12 hour flight to San Francisco and a final flight to Detroit. Not to mention our layovers (one of which being 12 hours 😬😬).

With that being said, this is my final blog for the 2026 SWIndia trip. I had so much fun documenting our time here and I encourage everyone to go on the SWIndia trip if possible!
Thank you Kaamaakshi for allowing me to be the group’s journalist and also leading the trip. Also thank you to the other trips co-lead Jade! Big thanks to BCA and our travel agency for such great accommodations and experiences during our two weeks. Thank you to Reid and anyone else in Marketing & Membership for helping me with the blogs despite all the technical difficulties. And a big thanks to anyone who has read any of my blogs!
