Hello readers! We’re glad you’re back to hear about the second day of our adventure in India! Our day started early with breakfast at a local diner before returning to our hostel to pack and check out. We ubered to the railway station and were running a little late, but luckily we made it on before the train left the station. The train journey was three hours long and we saw some beautiful views of the Maharastrian countryside!
We were met at the station by some teachers and staff from BCA, who drove us the remaining three hours to Walchandnagar. We stopped by a McDonald’s on the way and got a taste of the real India. After a sleepy ride to Walchandnagar, we arrived at our guest house. We were greeted by generous staff and received beautiful bouquets!

After relaxing for a couple hours, we were treated to a delicious dinner by our hosts and finalized our schedule for the engineering camp we came here to run! We finished off the night with some last minute preparations for the activities tomorrow.

According to Anagha, the best part of today was the warm welcome we received from the BCA staff, and Jade enjoyed coming back to the guest house after being on the trip last year; she describes it as “feeling like coming home”. We’re all excited to start working with the students tomorrow, so stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Sanjana (and all of SWIndia :))
