We returned to the Bronx High School of Science today to continue our activities and start an awesome new Ford mobility app challenge. We helped out with analyzing excel data for different materials and tested students' tire designs to avoid hydroplaning. We then challenged the kids to brainstorm an app that they can use to make their morning commute more fun and engaging and they really showed off their creativity! The groups I was working with came up with some innovative games and I can't wait to hear what the rest of the class has come up with when they present tomorrow.
I want to take the time to send a shout out to the other SWEople on ASB. Every one of you inspires me with your outreach abilities and the way you connect with the high schoolers. I'm glad I'm here in NYC with all of you - it makes our dinners, bubble tea runs, and moments of being temporarily lost even more enjoyable.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow but sad that it's our last day in the school. I hope we can make it count and inspire the students we've interacted with these past few days.
